About:

A product of the Washington D.C. suburbs, McLean Fahnestock has been examining the subtleties of conflict, internal and external, in order to work through to a better understanding of how we interact with one another. Her investigations into these problems, specific to the physical and transcendental act of realting, have expanded to take on video, sculptural, and photographic forms. She received her BFA from Middle Tennessee State University and MFA from California State University Long Beach. Her work has been exhibited in New York, California, Nevada, Tennessee, Indiana, and Canada. McLean lives in Long Beach and has a studio in San Pedro.
