Our work is inspired by landscape, both as collaborators and as individuals. As artists, we are concerned with the traditional issues of form, color, line and texture. As observers of the land, sky and water, we are intrigued and surprised by evidence of their many faces and changes. We are no less surprised by the human contrivance that creates a lush city with imported water in an arid landscape.
For Southern California, living in contradiction to the natural environment, existing by artifice and imagination, we allude to the languages of art and nature to reflect the transient and fragile qualities of life and landscape forms.
