Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough,
2006
Cardboard boxes, Disco lights, Strobes, Colored light bulbs, Children's desk lamps, Fluorescent paper, Wrapping paper, Duct tape, Electrical equipment
With Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough, Miller Updegraff steps outside of his traditional media of painting to use patterned lights and spatial disruptions to activate and transform the space. A cross between sculpture and installation, the altered space evokes an abandoned DIY disco, or a bare bones public monument to good times.
