About the Artist:
Linda French
Linda French's art explodes with color and joy. A Native of Huston, Texas, Linda currently divides her time between homes in Evergreen, Colorado and Pasadena, California. "I love spending my spring and summers in Southern California to paint and connect with friends and collectors who live here," she says. Linda attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Over time, her work has evolved from realistic to abstract. She credits Matisse, Van Gough and O'Keeffe as major influences. "When I begin to paint, I let it flow and then commit to what it is that I am going to say. This style of painting – letting the magic happen – excites me and keeps my passion for painting alive." For the past eighteen years, Linda has been represented by galleries in Evergreen and Vail, Colorado, and in other cities such as Honolulu, Laguna Beach and Palm Springs. Locally, Linda has exhibited her work at The Fine Artists Factory, and at Bistro 45 where she has had numerous successful one-woman shows.
